The Genealogical-Heraldic Society of Berne (GHGB) aims to achieve the promotion of genealogical research and heraldry.
The society organizes lectures and excursions, as well as classes, and promotes the exchange of research. We publish a bulletin twice a year.
The GHGB is a member of the Swiss Society of Genealogical Studies SSGS and promotes their goals as well.
We have about eight meetings a year that are usually open to the news.
Yearly membership fee: CHF 45.--, CHF 55.-- for non-Swiss residents.
The lectures take part at the Kongresszentrum Kreuz, Zeughausgasse 41, CH-3011 Bern. For our convivial gatherings /social events we meet at the Restaurant Beaulieu, Erlachstrasse 2, 3012 Bern, only a few minutes from the main railway station.
